Ossigeno per l’Informazione is organising a jazz concert for press freedom to be held on Thursday 21 June 2018 at the House of Jazz in Rome starting at 19.30. The concert is part of the Festival in Rome on the occasion of the European Music Day.
The concert will be played by saxophonist Nicola Alesini, the Scoop Jazz Band and trio “Cercatori di Libertà” (Freedom Seekers) with Vittorio Mezza, Gianluca Lusi e Luigi Masciari. The evening will be presented by actor Vittorio Viviani.
The event is organised by Music for Rome (Musica per Roma) Foundation with Ossigeno per l’Informazione and the House of Jazz as part of a series of events under the theme “Jazz and Human Rights – Music and words”.
During the evening, will be read some short messages called “telex” sent from those who would like to give their opinion about what is the most urgent issue related to press freedom and how we could better ensure the safety of journalists and their precarious working conditions.
We are receiving contributions. Therefore, Ossigeno invite everybody to send telegram by 19 June 2018 to the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org. Message should not exceed 800 characters.
