In Florence on the 12th November a new Ossigeno course on disputes

There is a new presentation of the course, “Intimidating and threatening lawsuits- how to forestall them” (6 training credits) organised by Ossigeno per l’Informazione this time in collaboration with the Tuscan branch of the Order of Journalists. The seminar will take place next Monday 12th November in Florence, in the premises of Confindustria, via Valfonda 9 from 14:00 to 18:00.

It is the updated version of the seminar already held more than forty times (the latest in Arezzo, Rome and in Abruzzo) with thousands of participants and an ever increasing interest.

The president of Ossigeno, Alberto Spampinato and the secretary Giuseppe Federico Mennella will present the Observatory’s data in particular those relative to Tuscany and will discuss with the participants reckless lawsuits, legal protection, Italian and European law and legislation and the proposals to protect effectively the right of citizens to be informed.

The course continues to generate interest because it provides responses to the questions which every journalist asks faced with the most frequent risks incurred whilst carrying out journalist activity; questions on how to avoid or reduce the risk of legal action and on other problems such as for example, professional confidentiality and the unacceptable claims from various sources – problems which journalists are dealing with every day.

Since 2014 when the course was held for the first time, it has undergone continuous updating and has always remained closely linked to current issues. Since then it has been held over forty times in ten regions, together with the regional Orders of Journalists and has been attended by over five thousand participants formally inscribed on the website of the Order of Journalists. The latest versions have been held in Arezzo, Rome and Luco dei Marsi (Avezzano).
